Diane E. (Fulkerson)
Rutledge
Diane went
home to be with Jesus on Oct. 9, 2012, surrounded by her family.
Born Oct. 19,
1950, she was the daughter of Gladys E. Fulkerson, with whom she resided in
Honesdale, and the late Charles L. Fulkerson. Diane is survived by her brother,
Gary Fulkerson and his wife Bonnie and sister-in-law Emmy Lou Mitchell, her
daughter Kimberly Speed and her loving son-in-law Jon and her four precious
grandchildren, Veronica, Samantha, Charles and Jonathan, who were the light of
her life. She is also survived by nieces and nephews Vickie Fulkerson, Art
Rutledge, Melanie and John Branston, Rebecca and Gregg Senft and Ticia and Mike
Rothrock, as well as several great nieces and nephews. Also left behind are cousins
Corky Myers, Jim and Terri Fulkerson (all of Honesdale), uncle Ron Eagle, Les and
Andrew Garrison and family, Linda and Vic Conduit and family, Susan Eagle,
David Eagle and family (all of England), Diane’s best friend Gail and her husband
Ron Sayre and many other neighbors and friends. Diane was predeceased by her
beloved aunt in England, Doris Eagle, and longtime friend Sue Rodearmel of
Connecticut.
Diane was
blessed with a loving family, a precious church family at Grace Church and a
caring and supportive work family at Indian Head Camp. She loved to bowl and
play golf (many bus trips to Myrtle Beach), read books on her Nook, watch John
Wayne movies, MASH and NCIS and was the painter of many rooms at both her home
and her daughter’s home.
Diane’s family
is touched by the outpouring of love from all who knew her and would like to
invite you to a memorial service and celebration of life at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov.
4 at the Honesdale Golf Club, 121 Golf Hill Rd., Honesdale, 18431.
In lieu of
flowers please send donations to either Diane’s home church: Grace Church, 9287
Route 97, Callicoon, N.Y. 12723; or to Jon and Kim’s church in Syracuse: Christ
is King Baptist Church, 1812 Valley Drive, Syracuse, N.Y., 13207.
